Mr. Baldwin is Chairman of the AIA Group, LLC (AIA). Prior to forming AIA, Mr. Baldwin founded Capital Management Group (CMG) which participated in 75 capital markets transactions for over $68 billion for companies such as Google, General Electric and the New York Stock Exchange.
Mr. Baldwin has a diploma in Financial Strategy from the University of Oxford’s Said School of Business and completed the Cambridge Advanced Management Program (AMP). Graduated from Antioch University with a BA, Mr. Baldwin was a member of the Chicago Stock Exchange.
Mr. Asuquo John is a Senior Managing Partner of The AIA Group LLC, a global alternative investment manager. He runs the firm’s London office concentrating on financial transactions and trading. Mr. John started with the firm on the trading desk and was previously an intern at a subsidiary company. In addition to The AIA Group LLC, Mr. John is an advisor to emerging markets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Mr. John is a registered Series 3, 30 and 63 licenses holder. Mr. John earned an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Mr. John completed his undergraduate studies in business at Durham University in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Menafee is the AIA Group’s Senior Economist. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor of Economics at Wilberforce University. He has extensive experience advising clients on entrepreneurship, competitive strategy and finance; his research focuses on monetary policy and industrial organization. Mr. Menafee earned an MBA in Strategy and Organizational Theory (Honors) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University.
Mr. Shah is Senior Managing Partner of the AIA Group. Prior to that he was a Director for Resilience Capital, a merchant bank in Dubai. Previously, Mr. Shah was a Director at Options Group, a global consulting boutique focused on the financial services industry where his retained clients included a number of the largest hedge funds and private equity firms. Mr. Shah was Head of Asset Development at Valence Capital Group, a multi-family office with $2 billion in assets under management. Mr. Shah was also an investment banker with ING Barings, where he executed a wide variety of corporate finance, merger and acquisition and financial advisory/underwriting transactions. He began his investment career at Lazard, where he assisted in executing various transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, takeover defenses and other broad strategic advisory assignments. Mr. Shah received his MA in Social Sciences and his BA in Economics (Honors) from the University of Chicago.
